ECRNs are registered nurses working in the Emergency Department. They are the other end of the radio when an ambulance calls the hospital; receiving the pre-hospital report and preparing for patient arrival.
Working under the System's medical direction, ECRNs provide telemetry and relay medical control orders to paramedics and EMTs in the field.
